Statement of Policy on Equal Opportunity And Affirmative Action

Hardwire is an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer, and affirms its long-standing commitment to provide Equal Employment Opportunity to all qualified persons regardless of race, creed, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, citizenship, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic characteristics, physical or mental disability, or citizenship status, status as a covered veteran, and any other status protected under applicable federal, state or local law or regulation (Protected Characteristics).  Hardwire is dedicated to maintaining a diverse workforce reflective of the communities in which we operate, a business culture that recognizes the contributions and interests of diverse cultural and social groups, and maximizes employee efforts by understanding individual differences and perspectives. Our diversity makes us stronger. This policy is directly aligned with our core values of Integrity, Team, Bold Innovation, and Customer.

All personnel policies, actions, and benefits, including but not limited to recruitment and hiring, working conditions, benefits and compensation, training, performance appraisals, promotion, discipline, termination, and social and recreation programs, are administered by management without regard to Protected Characteristics, and all employment decisions are based solely on valid job requirements.  Hardwire strives to promote full realization of equal opportunity through positive continuing affirmative action for women and minorities, protected veterans, and individuals with disabilities in compliance with EO 11246, VEVRAA and Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act.

Any violation of this policy will not be tolerated and will result in appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination.  If an employee believes someone has violated this policy or otherwise has questions regarding this policy, they may bring the matter to the attention of the Director of Human Resources, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, or Chief Executive Officer.  The Company will promptly investigate the facts and circumstances of any claim this policy has been violated and take appropriate corrective measures.

No employee will be subject to, and Hardwire prohibits, any form of discipline or retaliation for reporting perceived violations of this policy, pursuing any such claim, or cooperating in any way in the investigation of such claims, including:

  1. Assisting or participating in an investigation, compliance review, hearing, or any other activity related to the administration of VEVRAA, Section 503 or any other Federal, State, or local law requiring equal opportunity for protected veterans or individuals with disabilities;
  2. Opposing any act or practice made unlawful by VEVRAA, Section 503 or their implementing regulations in this part of any other Federal, State, or local law requiring equal opportunity for protected veterans or individuals with disabilities; or
  3. Exercising any other right protected by VEVRAA, Section 503 or their implementing regulations. It is the responsibility of every employee of Hardwire to assist in achieving the aims of this policy and to ensure that equal opportunity is an actual, functioning condition of work life at Hardwire.

This EEO policy has the full support of George Tunis, Chairman and CEO of Hardwire, LLC, who has assigned responsibility for its implementation to Ryan Wendell, Chief Financial Officer, as Equal Opportunity/Affirmation Action Officer.  The organization has designed and implemented an audit and reporting system to monitor and maintain its compliance with the Acts.

A copy of our Equal Employment Opportunity statement that reaffirms the organization’s commitment to equal employment opportunity, including employment of qualified disabled individuals and protected veterans is posted conspicuously throughout Hardwire’s workspaces.  This program is available for review upon request by an applicant or employee by contacting the Equal Opportunity/Affirmation Action Officer during regular business hours.  Notice of this availability for review is posted for applicants and employees.  These policies are reviewed, renewed, and updated annually, as needed.
